Trash bin
The aim of this project is to design ancillary facilities for the Markeaton Park in Derby, UK. This is a group project, in which I designed a trash bin based on the design concept of the harmony between man and nature. As a way to appeal to human beings to give full respect to bees, the hexagon of the honeycomb was used as a design element for the bin.

01
Interview and Questionnaire
Ten questions are set for interviewing and questionnaire. The interview and questionnaire are performed by advertising these questions through communication tools, in order to learn about the wishes of the residents, as well as the culture and environment.
02
Early ideation
The project is designed according to three pivotal effects, i.e., beautiful natural scenery, outdoor activities and facilities, cultural projects.

03
Design objective
The design objective is to promote the harmony between human being and the nature. Our group decided to design a series of ancillary facilities for the Markeaton Park under the theme of protecting bees, inspired by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
04
Sketches
Three-dimensional hand sketches of the trash bin can provide a general idea about my design.

05
Digital model
The digital model is established by using the Fusion 360.
06
Physical model
The physical model is made of hard cardboard

07
Final product
